PASSION FOR FASHION
July 25 - July 29
This is the summary for Head, Heart & Hand Studio's
Passion For Fashion summer art camp.
After practicing drawing
the figure, students
created a fashion design
inspired by nature
(animal, plant, etc.).
Watercolors were used to
capture their designs.
Texture and pattern were
emphasized as well as how
to show shading with color.
Textile Design
Many great designers also create their own fabrics.  Students were asked to design a textile
pattern using a somewhat monochromatic color scheme.  Each design square
had to work on its own as well as a repeated pattern.

Examples of the pattern designs when they are repeated.  Note how the
focus of the design changes when you add the pattern repeats.
COLLAGE DOLLS
This fun lesson
gave the students
the opportunity
to use their own
heads to design
an outfit using
paper scraps!
We discussed
mixing patterns
and colors.
Students were
encouraged to
make lots of
accessories.
What a great group of girls!
