WATERCOLOR
COLLAGE A LA
MATISSE
Taking inspiration from
Matisse's Goldfish
painting, students
explored watercolor
techniques to make their
own goldfish still-life.  We
discussed texture,
grouping objects and
contrast.
POP
ART
CUBES
Students looked at works by Andy Warhol, Roy
Lichtenstein and Keith Haring.  Pop Art cubes
consist of a cartoon self-portrait with a word
describing themselves, an Andy Warhol-style
self-portrait, a product, an animal and a word.

Van Gogh's
"Sunflowers" was
the inspiration
for these clay
relief sculptures.
We discussed
textures and
color.
A couple of visitors came by to
say "Hi" on our last day!  This
photo was taken through
the Studio doors!
We had a fun time as we learned
about the Old Masters!
