WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (Pint-Size Picassos)
June 21 - June 25
Campers will design their own monsters using watercolor techniqes, examine
the world of creepy crawlies with clay bug sculptures and draw a landscape as
scene through a wardrobe.

NATURE
June 28 - July 2
Campers will hone their drawing and painting skills in this
camp that explores nature. We will take our pastels out
on the hiking trail, make our own botanical and specimen
paintings, and work on making our animal drawings more
realistic using Audubon as our influence.

PASSION FOR FASHION
July 12 - July 16
After examining hats worn in paintings and societies, campers will embark on
making their own hat constructions from a variety of materials. Other fashion
adventures in this camp include bottle cap necklaces and making better fashion
drawings. At the end of the week SMFHS photo teacher, Mr. Steve Pierce, will
take fashion photos of campers wearing their hats!

THE WORLD AROUND US (Mini Monets)
July 19 - July 23
Young artists will use Adell Durbin Park for inspiration as they create tree
collages, watercolor playground paintings, and more. This camp offers students
the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums including clay, collage, paints
and drawing materials.
Ages 5-9

ROBOTS, TOYS AND CIRCUS FREAKS
August 2 - August 6
Campers will design creatures and make them into 3-D
sculptures using metal, wood, wire and found objects.
Hammers, nails, screwdrivers and other tools will be used
in this fun camp that practices good problem-solving
skills.
Ages 10-18

THE ART OF HARRY POTTER
August 9 - August 13
This camp celebrates the popular book series. Campers will recreate some of
the odd creatures found in the series, turn mugs into animals, draw their own
Room of Requirement and more in this multi-media camp. We'll be drawing,
sculpting, collaging and if time permits, printmaking.

Summer Camps will be held at Adell Durbin Park in Stow, OH. You must sign up at the Stow Parks Department located at 5070 Stow Rd.
Art lessons are designed to fit many ages.
